I have been living in Brooklyn for 2 years now, and just recently got my Masters Degree in Writing with a concentration in Youth Media. I was born and raised in Massachusetts and have been babysitting since the age of 14. I began with 2 families who were actually brothers. One had 3 boys and the other 2 boys and a girl. I often found myself watching all 6 at a time. Luckily their ages were spaced out enough that I didn't have 6 toddlers on my hands! The 6 of them ranged everywhere from newborn to 12 years old. I also cared for another family which had 2 lovely girls, ages 2 and 4 when I began. Upon moving to Brooklyn, I worked primarily as a Part-Time Nanny for a family with a beautiful 9 month old, as well as a date night sitter for 2 separate families with Read more 10 month old boys. I had a single mom, so my aunt took care of me and my brother during the day. Luckily for us, she was the most amazing, creative woman I've ever met. She taught me so much that I carry over into how I care for children today. I like to try different things and constantly be changing up the routine. I love going outside to play and run! I am also incredibly creative and love to find new arts and crafts or fun science experiments or recipes. On top of that, I am a wonderful cook. Perk: I was an extremely picky eater growing up, so I can relate to any problem eater and a few tricks up my sleeve! Specialties: -Excellent Swing Pusher -Master Pillow Fort Builder -Peek-a-boo Pro -Fluent in all Nick Jr programming -Knows the ABC's/Twinkle Twinkle/Happy Birthday on acoustic guitar! -Believable dinosaur and car noises -Wonderful at playing dress up! On a more serious note, I minored in American Sign Language while getting my Bachelors in Chicago, and would love to incorporate that into your child's life.
