I’m Ali, a recent graduate with 7 years of babysitting, nannying, and teaching assistant experience across the ages of infancy to 12 years old. In addition to just loving being around the sweet smiles of babies and the inquisitive, creative minds and hearts of all children, I find so much joy in helping them grow. I grew up helping out in my mom’s various elementary school classrooms (and in early childhood education settings) where, having learned to value and promote open communication, hard work, cooperation, compassion, and creative expression, I’ve been able to teach, play with, and challenge so many wonderful children in safe, fun, and nurturing environments. And with a sister who has some developmental delays/disabilities, and having cared for an autistic child in the past, I know firsthand how special each child is. The most recent family I worked for has two wonderful children, a boy who was Read more several months when I began and a girl who was still a toddler; for nearly a year I was dedicated to dressing, feeding, playing games with them, going on adventures in parks, helping to maintain nap schedules, potty training, and occasional laundry. I’m a dependable, flexible, patient, organized, loving, and responsible role model who can keep up with kids of any age and aid in guiding them in healthy and independent practices. I know basic Italian well and intermediate Italian fairly well—I’m always continuing to learn and would love to help teach a child the language! I’m also passionate about reading (Goodnight Moon is a cherished favorite), music, painting, dancing, and cooking.
