I have been working for the same family for 12 years, and began caring for their children (both girls) when the youngest was 2 weeks and the eldest 2 years. Both parents are professionals who work full time, and travel a lot. Over the years I have organized play dates, lessons, birthday parties, after school events, and trips. I have also cooked the girls’ meals, helped with light housekeeping and made sure they complete their homework. When both parents travel I will stay overnight and get the girls ready for school, and if the parents are running late I will stay with the girls until the parents arrive home.
