My name is Tia. I was raised in Brooklyn New York but currently reside in Jersey City. I am 23 years old with an associate degree in Early Childhood education and BA in Psychology. I relish working with children. My future plan is to become a teacher or open up my own daycare center. In the past I have babysit for parents in the Park Slope and Windsor Terrace area, worked in summer camps, and after-school programs. Babysitting a little 6-year-old girl named Rose was a great experience. It warmed my heart to see her enjoying her time with me. She looked up to me as an older sister who she trust. I've been working with Good Shepherd program for about 4 years. I really loved the job of supervising children and creating fun activities daily. During the school year assisting with Homework was essential. I currently work at P.s Read more 154 after school program which consist of homework help, creating structure activities, and supervising free play. I am great at watching multiple children and am responsible when it comes to handling certain situations or conflicts. Mentoring children comes natural for me. Children always look up to me for advice because of the awesome bond and connection we grow. I have an abundant amount of patience which children require and love to play around and have some fun. House work such as cleaning and preparing meals are fine with me. Working with my lovely children in the past showed me they always miss me when the school year is over or camp ended. They looked forward to me working with them in the future.
