Ive worked as a babysitter for the past six years earning money for college where I have just finished my degree in Architecture in University College Dublin and have recently moved back to New York. What sets me apart from other potential babysitters is my love for art and cooking. I enjoy getting children involved and enjoy teaching them new skills and being able to help them with their homework. I have an extensive list of experience in dealing with children. I babysit for numbers families in my locality. In secondary school I was a 5th year prefect of younger students. This involved living with the junior boarding school, watching over them at night and getting them to school in the morning. I was also part of a programme in 6th year where I looked after a first year student with acute scoliosis and helped with any problems she was Read more facing, acting as a mentor and guiding her through the struggles of starting secondary school. Probably my most rewarding experience with children was when I volunteered for a school for children with special needs, during transition year. Each week I met with a nine year old boy with autism, named John, and taught him how to swim. I have many references from other households I have taken care of that are available upon request.
