I have tutored and taken care of children from ages 5 to 14. I was responsible for them when their parents were either at work or out of town. I believe it is very important to engage children in everyday activities, whether it be getting them dressed, making lunch, or establishing a routine for leaving the home. I helped with other household-related tasks, such as doing laundry, helping them with their homework, and organizing activity schedules such as visits to the museum and to the fire department. I am yet to try a live-in with a family situation, but being a live out manny i helped groom the children in organization skills, challenging them to be better and helping them improve on their moral behavior.
