Hello!! My name is Samantha but I go by Sammie. I love to laugh, have fun and love to walk. I walk almost everywhere. I have been taken care of children since the age of 16 working as a summer camp counselor. Since then I have accumulated 15 years of child care experience and care for over 20+ children. I am responsible for the children day to day activities such as bottle prepping, feedings, scheduling nap time, changing diapers, potty training, getting them ready for school or camp, indoor & outdoor activities(going to different parks, libraries, zoo, walks), giving them 3 balance meals, homework help, virtual learning, bathing and getting the child or children ready for bed. I am very keen on hygiene and health. I make sure the children and myself take the proper procedures to reduce the chances of getting sick and spreading germs. I love to keep the children occupied and entertained with indoor/outdoor activities, arts & crafts, making games up whether it is to get through our daily activities or using our imagination to have fun, to learning activities such as workbooks and flashcards and knowing their interest so they can explore and expand their knowledge. I work with a family for the past 8 1/2years. Now that the children are 7 and 10 years old and are in school, I work part time. I’m available in the mornings. I enjoy tutoring children and helping them build confidence in their ability to achieve, both academically and socially. In addition I have artistic and computer skills that will be an asset when developing activities. I am certified in infant & adult cpr, first aid and aed.
