Meet Rebekah

A little bit about me, I am a southern transplant to New York. I have lived in Brooklyn almost 4 years and have been working in fashion design both as full time and as a freelancer. I am currently in between positions so I am available for both day and night time care. Even working a full time position I take the time to babysit at night, so my availability may continue on past this intermediate period. I began babysitting when I was in middle school and have been doing so ever since on account of how much I love and enjoy it. In my 15 year span of experience I have worked with many age groups; newborns to approximately 10 years old. My sitting experience has been mostly on a one on one basis, but I have also cared for groups of up to 4 at a time. I Read more am most familiar with caring for infants and toddlers, but I am confortable with older kids as well. Pets are not a problem for me as i am an avid pet lover. I have dogsat very energetic dogs on several occasions. I am also willing to help out around the household as needed. This may include, but isn't limited to: light cleaning, laundry, and basic cooking. Being a designer myself, I love to participate in creative projects. I love painting, drawing, crafts, anything hands-on. I find that kids can be the best artists as they have the most uninhibited creative eye. I also love spending time outdoors, going to the park or going for walks around the city. As a caretaker it is important to me to always stay engaged, active, creative, positive, and responsible. I find that the best relationships usually stem from these core qualities.
