Hello Parents! I am a 24 year old full time nanny with a degree in Studio Art and Psychology. I currently nanny for a wonderful family and have worked for them for the past two years. My greatest passion in life is working with others in order to help them grow as individuals. I am married to my amazing husband whom I have been with for 6 years. I do not have any children, but I do have a loving and neurotic 4-year-old dog. We rescued him at 7 weeks old from the pound where I use to volunteer on a regular basis. We later found out that he was seperated from his mother too early. I frequently work with him in diverse exposure therapy situations and have trained him myself. I have been caring for children from a young age. I have a much younger sister and so I Read more experienced infant care from early on. I began babysitting children at 14 after taking a basic course covering CPR and first aid which I keep current to this day. Over the years I have cared for children of all ages ranging from newborn to 13 years old and in groups as large as six at a time. In 2008 I was the nanny for a 5 year-old boy during the summer months before he started kindergarten. I currently nanny for an amazing and precocious 2 year old girl whom I have been with since she was 2 months old. When babysitting I enjoy participating in hands on activities with children and will readily bring arts and crafts supplies at the consent of the parents. I personally do not regularly watch television and while taking care of children I prefer to keep them dynamically engaged in various forms of imaginative and educational play. I believe in making exercise fun and will use games and music to keep children active. I am very patient and understanding person by nature and can be empathetic to a fault. I believe when working with children that consistency and compassion are the greatest keys to the child’s happiness and success.
