Hi! My name is Kiara and I am a recent college graduate from Cornell University (2016). Recently, however, I returned to the Buffalo area in order to work full-time/prepare for the LSAT. Previously, I worked part-time at Barre3 (a fitness studio) in the kid’s play lounge. The play lounge is a kid-friendly space for the children of Barre3 clients. I monitored up to five children at a time, ranging in ages from infancy to 10 years old. Activities included reading books and general playtime! Additionally, I come from a large family (12 first cousins), so I've had the opportunity to babysit a number of young cousins as well as family friends with young children. During my time at Cornell, I was the Vice President of College Mentors for Kids, which is a non-profit organization that plans educational activities for local, underserved elementary-aged students in the community (Ithaca, NY). With College Read more Mentors, I was responsible for planning and managing activities for forty 1st - 4th graders each week. Activities often included some sort of craft and a short lesson from a professor on campus!
