I worked with children from ages 2 to 5 in a daycare center as a teacher's assistant, and based on my own experience I can say that I enjoy working with children! Their creativity is limitless, and always strive to do their best to learn. The duties that I had to do as an assistant teacher was to maintain a safe classroom environment for children and staff. Organize and file children's work activities into their notebooks and folders. Stimulate children's listening and comprehension skills through reading and sing-along. Distribute lesson plans that introduces children to colors, letters, numbers, shapes, and senses. Administer material carefully to children during arts and crafts, and improvise comprehensive class work activities for children in the absence of teacher. In addition to that I attended children during breakfast, lunch, and snack time and supervised/assisted children when using the restroom.
