About me: I have 15 years of paid childcare experience having worked as a nanny, teacher, tutor, babysitter and household manager. My references are recent, local, stellar and verifiable. I graduated from college magna cum laude with a BA in literature and have since taken undergraduate courses in child development. I am a safe driver with have a clean NY license, and reliable transportation (AWD, antilock breaks, airbags). More often than not, I utilize the family's car to transport their children, but I do have transportation of my own I can use. When the children are in school, I run errands, call and oversee repair people and do light housekeeping which includes the children's laundry, kitchen cleanup, loading and emptying of the dishwasher as well as organization of closets and toys. I am looking for a long term placement so that I can help foster the development of your children and oversee the smooth running of Read more your home. I am available during the week from 745/8 am until 8 pm if necessary. I can also be available for weekend sitting either sporadically or regularly. My description of my experience doesn't compare to what I can offer in regards to care of typical and special needs children and household management capabilities. I look forward to meeting you and discussing your childcare needs! During the day, I sing, read books, take walks, build block towers, play with trains, go to storytime and the play gym, keep in contact with mom and dad regarding naps and feeding. I am more than happy to sleep train, prepare organic baby food and can bring children to the pediatrician should the need arrise.
