My name is Whitney Davis and I am a sophomore at Binghamton University. I am either going to declare a Human Development or Psychology major. I am very interested in working with kids and am looking into pursuing a career in either child or school psychology. I have been babysitting since I was in middle school, and am always on call whenever my family members need help with their younger children. In addition to babysitting, I have experience as a camp counselor both at sleepaway and day camp. I have worked with kids ranging from the ages of 2-14. I have also been a volunteer at SIBS Place in Hewlett. SIBS is a support group for children who have parents or siblings that are critically ill with cancer or other devastating illnesses. At SIBS, I facilitated group therapy, as well as assisted in the art room with projects that enabled Read more children to express themselves through art. Through my experiences babysitting and volunteering, I have truly solidified my passion for working with kids. I love seeing kids grow up, and I enjoy simply spending time with them. It is important to me that I make a difference in a child's life, and that is what I aim to do anytime I work with kids.
