I have taught grades 1-4 in Virginia for the past 4 years as a full time certified teacher. I have my masters in the art of teaching and have worked in classrooms since I was in 12th grade. Long before that, I became a mother's helper when I was 13 and continued to babysit into my college years. I enjoy being a teacher and truly believe it is the best job in the world. Currently, I am working on my NY state certification and expect to have it within the next 6 months or so. I left my teaching job, that I loved, to be near my parents back here (home, on Long Island. I enjoy being around children so much that for the past 5 years I have worked at a summer camp as an American Red Cross lifeguard for young campers. For the past 3 years, I have Read more been and continue to be a Swim Director at a summer camp in the Hamptons. Besides spending my time with little ones, I enjoy traveling, sailing, skiing, and exercising. I am very close to my family and look forward to starting my teaching career on Long Island. My background with children is extensive, I am highly qualified and reliable. I am looking for a consistent babysitting job about 3-4 days a week. I know that my positive and energetic attitude along with my organized and dedicated work ethics would make a positive asset in any household.
