Throughout my childhood I was very shy, and struggled to be social including being around kids. In 2010 my aunt gave birth to my first baby cousin as all of my cousins were older than me until this point in time. We had my baby cousin at the house 5 days a week, and I was taught throughout his childhood how to feed him, bath him, dress him, change him, and how to make him smile. I slowly became more outgoing, and social through this experience, and noticed that I truly enjoyed caring for children. And in 2014 my first nephew was born which changed my life completely. My brother had to work often along with his significant other, and would frequently turn to me in the caring of my nephew. And I would do things such as prepare his bottles, dress him, bathe him, change him, and entertain him. Read more I would look forward to each day I got to see my nephew grow. And the next year in 2015 I was blessed with my goddaughter / niece. My niece is one of the best things to ever happen to me. When my niece was born I took on a very big roll as my sister had to work. I had my niece 5-6 days a week for at least 8 hours a day. And I was responsible for preparing bottles, clothing her, changing her, and showing her love & affection while my sister was at work. I have watched my niece grow up through the years and it is one of the most amazing things I have gotten the privilege to experience in life as I do not have any children yet. I truly love being around children, and it brings joy to my heart knowing I can make a child feel not only safe, but comforted. I loved my niece, and 2 nephews, and when meeting a child for the first time I always treat them the same way I do my own family.
