I am a mother of six, my youngest being 16. I've been a "stay at home mom" most of my life and currently babysit part time in my home for the past 7years. I am looking for one more child, approximately age one, as I am still taxi-ing my youngest son back and forth to school and sports, etc. I have an associate degree in Child Care from Nassau Community College and have a genuine love for children. I have many references and I am the kind of sitter that the child feels like one of the family and could accompany me on shopping trips, sporting events like baseball games and church during the week. (I am also a practicing catholic, so prayers before meals and weekday mass comes up a few times). My husband is a retired police officer from NYPD. My third child, age 22 is a boy and in the NYPD academy, due to graduate in June. My fourth child, a boy, age 20 is a business student at St. Joseph's college. My fifth child , a boy, is 18 and in boot camp for the US Marine corps. My sixth child, also a boy is 16 and a junior at Lindenhurst High School. I have been blessed beyond words and really do not want to do any other job at the age of 53...(a young 53). My mother, age 89 lives with us as well, but has her own private apt.
