I am 26 years old and live in Orange County, NY. I am upbeat and energetic, an avid reader, and love to travel and spend time outdoors. As the oldest of 6, I have been helping out with children for as long as I can remember. I helped out in a church's nursery from the age of 10-19. At 12 I began my first babysitting job. Since then, I have been the regular babysitter for 5 families. I have watched children ranging in age from 1 year to 13. The family I currently sit for only has one child, but I have babysat a family of 5, and, of course, have watched all of my younger siblings. When I was 18, I worked at a preschool as a teacher's assistant. I loved it and would gladly have continued on, but unfortunately, the classes I needed didn't work with my hours Read more there. The preschool specialized in special needs. I worked in a behavioral room and was a one-on-one for a child with CP. My knowledge is not as great as I would like it to be, but I am comfortable around children with special needs, do have some experience, and am willing to learn. Currently, I work as a cook. It is a full time job. I have my availibility posted on here, but my hours at work are flexible and could amend my hours to work around a set schedule for babysitting.
