Hello!  I live in Manhattan, and have worked as a babysitter/nanny on and off for 6+ years.  I love working with kids, and have had experience with all ages from newborns and infants to 12-year-olds.  I've done date night sitting, in addition to full-time nannying over a summer for a family with FOUR kids (well, two were cousins that were visiting, but that didn't make a difference!) About me: I'm a fun, friendly, kind and compassionate college graduate, who has just matriculated into Columbia University's Physical Therapy program.   I studied abroad in Russia for two years, and I won an award for my senior thesis on contemporary Russian architecture.  I've done lots of volunteering - most recently at a physical therapy clinic - and I'm a certified pilates instructor. I'm a drummer and spend lots of my free time practicing at a drum studio in Manhattan! Also, I'm an EXCELLENT house-keeper, organizer, Read more cleaner and cook.  I've had a lot of experience as both of my parents are academics and are pressed for time.  I've had a food allergy since infancy, so I'm aware of and sympathetic towards all kinds of medical needs (not just allergies).  As a sitter, I know that the parents' preferences come first and I don't really have rules of my own, although from older children (12+) I do expect a certain amount of autonomy and mutual respect.  I adore working with younger children, and I find that all kids thrive when given they feel safe, listened to, liked!
