Dear Dedicated Parent, Are you looking for a dedicated, fun, creative, and well-educated Nanny for your child? If so, you need not look further. Since I was 13 years old I have been a babysitter, like many girls my age, and have continued my love for kids over the years, culminating in spending 6 months in Nepal teaching English Pronunciation to Elementary and Junior High School Students in 2009-2011. Myself being educated in a progressive school on the upper East side, I have been successful in transforming children of all ages, nationalities, and temperaments into energetic, well behaved, and education-hungry kids. A delicate combination of humor, creativity, and perseverance can turn a child on to learning and make them enjoy the process. I have just recently returned from 2 years abroad in Nepal where I was working for an international charity that helps orphans afford education, as well as Read more working as a Multi-Media Design Consultant part time. My time in Nepal was continually filled with children as they were eager to meet this strange Westerner. I was often taking children out to events, museums, and they were very eager to show me around the town. My love for kids cannot even be expressed in words. There is something about a budding mind through all its stages of blooming that needs so much care and attention, especially from someone other than their parents. Something magical can happen when something is shown to a child in the right way, and often it takes many tries to make that magic happen. Each child is different, and needs a different kind of attention that often teachers cannot provide because of their busy schedules, and their specific interactions, pressures, and daily hum-drum. Sometimes it really does take another person from outside to help instill the values that their parents so lovingly and carefully gave them. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, painting and writing, which I readily encourage children to do. I have a BA in Multi-Media Design, and am able to send my resume if need be. I would like to work as a tutor because I find this field very fulfilling, and I am planning on perusing a Masters in Education. I am CPR and first aid certified and had a job as a lifeguard in high school, so I can perform many safety procedures, should this be required. My rates are flexible, and I am able to provide references if needed. I look forward to meeting you and your little ones!
