Hi, my name is Jackie! I have a huge passion for children. Even though I am 19, I have had loads of experience with children. My first job I had was when I was 15, was a camp counselor for the YMCA. From a young age I knew I wanted to be a school teacher. I grew up with my grandma, and experienced trauma from a young age, and my teachers always filled in the role as parents for me. I love children, and teaching them healthy ways to deal with the ups and downs of life. My goal in life is always to help others, especially children because growing up I had to deal with life without parents, so I taught myself to be what I would have needed as a child. My sister has autism, so growing up I have learned how to communicate with all types of Read more people, and I have learned patience and understanding. I have been working since the age of 15 food service jobs because that is what was available for my age group at the time, in order to provide for myself and my sister, so responsibility, love and accountability is something I have learned over the years and It has shaped me to be the woman I am today. I would love the opportunity to work with all types of kids, my heart is big enough to share for everyone! If I can leave a good impression and give love even to just one person, I feel complete, because to me life is not about what you have, its about the things you do for others, because that is something that can never be lost. I may not remember all the names of the good teachers I have had in my life, but I will always remember how they made me feel. We meet people everyday, and whether we realize it or not-everyone affects everyone. If we as people can affect people in a positive way, we can truly say we have learned the meaning of love and life.
