Hi there! I'm Laura. I graduated from the University of the Arts with a BFA in Acting in May 2012. After living in NYC for a year, I decided to move back to Westchester and had a blast working with a family as a full time before/after school driving sitter for the entire school year (2 kids, when they were 2-3 and 5-6). After returning to NYC I was hired to be a full time nanny for an amazing UES family, who I was with for 2+ years (2 kids, when they were 2-5 and 5-8). Since 2017, After that, I was an after school sitter for a wonderful West Village family, with two girls who are currently 11 and 13. I recently started a full time position as Director of Education at a voiceover student in midtown, but am still looking for evening/weekend babysitting opportunities! I love kids and Read more have experience with a wide variety of children. Most of my experience is with kids aged 2-7, but I also have experience with children with special needs, including my younger sister, who has autism, and have cared for younger pre-teen/teenaged siblings. In addition to my full time positions I have also cared occasionally for a family of 5 kids in Westchester who I have a very close relationship with! I am a very organized, clean, focused person but I also love having fun and doing lots of activities (playing games, coloring, make-believe, dress-up, going to parks, museums, special events, etc) and I like keeping kids active and learning. I have no problem with housekeeping, cooking, tidying, running errands, etc. I am very reliable and punctual (if you're not early you're late!) Because I work as a TEFL teacher, I also have a passion for helping kids with homework and encouraging them to read, learn, and challenge themselves! Some of my personal passions include acting, travel, cooking, and comedy. I am intelligent, fun, and down to earth and I would love to help you out! Currently, I'm available for evenings (after 5pm) but can be available in the mornings if necessary and weekends.
