I've had an eclectic background working with kids. I started out as a teenager working in camps as a counselor, incredibly outnumbered, but learning how to maintain a cool head in the heat of Florida summers with 20 four year-olds counting on me to keep them safe. When I moved to New York 11 years ago I quickly realized I had a knack for babysitting, and it became my main source of income throughout my college years while I was studying to be an actor. I cared for all ages in many different formats, after school care, infant/toddler full time care, homework helper, multiple children and live-in nannying. Leana is fantastic. She’s super smart about children and played blocks, clay, explorers, and read stories with my 3 & 4 year old the entire 5 hours we were out Saturday afternoon. My 4 year old didn’t want her to leave.

Leana was great. I knew she knew what she was doing when she asked my 3 year old what color bowl he wanted his dinner in, and whether he wanted the different things in separate bowls. She came in right at dinner time and took it completely in her stride, managing dinner, bathtime and bedtime for my two kids (3 and 1). The kids seemed very comfortable with her right away. She also handled a toddler fall/bump in a professional way, reaching out to us immediately to let us know what had happened and confirm next steps. We will definitely look to use her again!

Leana was so friendly & immediately began engaging with my daughters when she arrived. They were very excited that she played not one but three board games with them before bedtime. We really enjoyed having her to "kid" sit, and I would definitely book her again.
