I am a dynamic, hands-on, engaging Spanish Teacher with several years of experience. I have been teaching Elementary and Middle School Spanish to students ranging in grades K-8 for the last five years, at a school where I helped completely revamp and rewrite the entire Spanish Curriculum. I love to heavily integrate Art, Geography, Cultural Traditions, Music, Songs, Storytelling, Dramatic Play, Community Connections and TPR into my lessons. I enjoy using a holistic approach when developing curriculum, in order for the Spanish Program to maintain a comprehensive selection of lessons and activities that are engaging, enjoyable, which "lower the affective filter" and integrate effective language teaching methods that allow for success in specific areas of language development such as reading, writing, listening and speaking. I also carefully consider how each lesson can build upon the objectives of the previous lesson, in order to allow students to deepen their understanding and Read more use of Spanish.
