Having grown up the oldest of eight cousins and a brother, I learned the ins-and-outs of childcare very early on. I began babysitting outside of my family at age 12 after completing a CPR/childcare class at my local hospital. I have over 10 years of experience with infants, toddlers and elementary school aged children. I also have experience with twins (both infant and toddler), 4 or more children at a time and light housework. I moved to New York City to pursue a double major in Communication Studies and Theatre Arts at Pace University where I graduated with a 3.8 GPA. I babysat throughout college for multiple households and continue to maintain a family-like relationship with all of the parents and children I've sat for. Many of the families have moved out of the city and although I will occasionally make a trip to New Jersey or Connecticut to sit Read more for them, I am finding that I have time to meet and care for new children. I would love to help give parents that deserving night off - date night is so much more enjoyable when you have a babysitter you can trust. My experience in childcare combine with my love for children make me an ideal babysitter. An added perk: I am super crafty! I always have tons of arts and crafts projects "up my sleeve." I live in upper Manhattan but work from midtown (the Penn Station area) during the week. I could be available Monday-Friday after 5:00P and anytime on Saturday. I am also ok with multiple nights a week if you need more than just one night off ;)
