I graduated from Barnard in 2008 and worked in documentary film after graduating. A few years into my career in documentary film, I realized I wasn't fulfilled with my job. I wanted to have an impact on the lives of other people so I took some post-bacc classes in Psychology. I gravitated towards all the early development and child psychology classes. I remember so vividly what it was like to be a young kid and that made me empathetic to the experiences of children. I learned that I love spending time with kids of all ages and engaging with them in creative ways. Whether it is play a game of make believe, drawing or doing crafts, I love spending time with kids and listening to everything they have to say.
