Hello! I'm originally from San Diego and I moved out to Washington D.C. for college and graduated from George Washington University in May 2013. I've been babysitting and working with kids for as long as I can remember, and babysat regularly for all ages (infants to teenagers) every weekend during my time in DC. I recently graduated from my second year of City Year AmeriCorps, a non-profit organization that serves in high-needs schools. Beginning August 31st of 2015, I will begin classes at Columbia University to complete my masters in social work. So far I am loving the transition to New York City! In my spare time I enjoy going to exercise classes, being outside, reading, and babysitting! I'm confident caring for babies all the way up to older kids. I'm also CPR certified. I really enjoy helping with homework and I have a lot of tutoring experience. I also Read more enjoy reading with younger kids or doing educational things with them, or just playing and making the experience fun and engaging for them! I don't have a vehicle but am willing to run errands or take the kids on little "field trips" if it is okay with the parents. Kelsey was a professional, dependable, and caring babysitter for our daughter while we all lived in DC. We first used Kelsey when our daughter was about 10 months old and she immediately took to her. Kelsey engaged with her right away by reading to her and playing with her and it was very clear that she was very comfortable with babies. Kelsey was always on time and was flexible if we were going to be a little later than we had originally indicated. She babysat for us a number of times while we all lived in DC and it was clear our daughter enjoyed spending time with her. I trusted Kelsey to do dinner, bath time and bedtime and all went smoothly each time. I highly recommend Kelsey to care for your children and was very sad to lose her as a regular babysitter when we all moved away from DC.
