I'm 25 years old and work as an educator at the Quad Preparatory School. The Quad provides its students with a unique model of education in which the academic goals of each student are individualized and attuned to their social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Over the course of my time at the school I have worked as a paraprofessional for one student, a psychosocial teacher monitoring the behavioral goals for a group of 9 students, and an associate teacher supporting humanities and teaching history. I have experience teaching academics as well as supporting the social and emotional needs of students through employing strategies like collaborative problem solving and therapeutic crisis management. This year I will be pursuing a masters in Mental Health Counseling at NYU in addition to teaching at the Quad, and am excited to expand on what I have learned over the course of my time working at Read more the school.
