My name is Gia Vaccarezza and I just moved to NYC at the beginning of February 2016 to start my Masters in Bilingual Education and teaching Italian as a Foreign Language. I am CPR Pro and First Aid Plus certified and can provide proof of certification upon request. I am very comfortable taking on responsibility and new challenges. I have a lot of babysitting experience: I began working as a mother's helper in middle school and as early as Sophomore year of high school, families were trusting me to take care of their children on my own. I have experience with infants, toddlers, single and multiple children. The last family I worked with employed me as a babysitter and tutor, helping with elementary-level homework after school in addition to weekend babysitting. I have also worked in Italy for 2+ years teaching English to children and teens. I speak Italian fluently Read more and I would feel comfortable conversing with your kids in only in Italian if desired. I have experienced, and am further studying, how to teach a foreign language to young children. I am comfortable with preparing meals, running errands, school pick-up and I pride myself in being very creative. I avoid depending on technology during work; I like to engage the kids in hands on activities, arts and crafts, exploring the outdoors, or listening and dancing to music. I am very a personable, outgoing, happy babysitter (and person in general). I can work mornings during the week or also on the weekends. I hope that I can help out your family!
