I have a degree in Child Development and Psychology and have extensive experience in working with children of all ages( from infancy to teens). I currently work for the Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of New York Presbyterian, where I have been a Child Life Specialist for the last 10 years. I provide education on the patient's diagnosis and upcoming surgeries and procedures to the patients and to their families. I also provide coping and pain management techniques while the patients are admitted in the hospital. I work with several different services from social work, nursing, the orthopedic team, liver transplant team, and the general medicine team. I love this work, as it has always been a rewarding experience to assist patients and their families through the most vulnerable times in their lives. I have worked as a nanny during my time in college and also when I first transitioned to Read more New York from Michigan, before I started my career at the hospital. I have always been so fortunate to work with great families and children who I have adored! I have the background to work with children with special needs and children on the Autistic spectrum as well. I would love to be able to find a caring family to babysit for in my spare time. I look forward to being able to work with some wonderful children yet again!
