I grew up in Tribeca and currently live in midtown and am available to work in Manhattan and some parts of Brooklyn. I am a college sophomore, currently not enrolled in classes due to financial reasons. I have been taking care of children since 2009, when my upstairs' neighbor asked me to watch her children for a few hours each week. Since then I have cared for infants, toddlers, pre-school aged children, and elementary-school aged children, including some with special needs. I am a compassionate, fun-loving person and have had numerous long-term child-care. I always liked spending time with my younger cousins, reading them stories, playing dress up, building train tracks, and even helping with homework, and this led easily into care taking. As an assistant teacher in an after school acting program in Manhattan, I was able to help teach children to to act professionally, respectfully and responsibly, as Read more they entered into a performing arts career. In my first year of college of took intensive observational drawing classes which taught me to observe my surroundings in great detail, and I believe that this has heightened my ability to focus and pay attention, which are key skills necessary for watching over children. I consider each child an individual and am committed to respecting parents' wishes in how to look after their children.
