A bit about myself: I graduated from CUNY Lehman College. I am getting my master's at Teachers College in Early Childhood Education. I am bilingual- English & Spanish. I have 5 years of experience working with age groups of 6 months to 13 years old. I was a Student Teacher/ Mentor Leader for children in Pre, K, Elementary, and Middle school children in NY Public Schools (Manhattan Borough). I've worked at P.S. 188 The Island School, P.S. 142 Amalia Castro, and P.S. 033 Chelsea Prep. In my free time, I mentor young children in non-profit organizations such as the “I Have A Dream” Foundation and Educational Alliance. Fun fact about me: I joined the IHDF program as a middle school student growing up and this is my way of paying it forward. I am a Dreamer Alumni and I participate on their Alumni Council in the communications committee. I also Read more volunteer as their Social Media Manager. I have experience in Higher Education as well. I really enjoy building lasting relationships and helping children of all ages grow academically and socially. I strongly value student engagement and providing valuable resources. I’ve done 3 years of private babysitting and tutoring in the Upper West Side and Upper East Side for all ages. I was born and raised in the Upper West Side. I worked at Columbia University as a Department Secretary and Admin coordinator.
