Hello! My name is Yvonne; I am currently at New York University: Steinhardt working towards my masters in Educational Theatre. Kids are the light of my life and I absolutely love working with them, hoping to one day become a theatre teacher! Moreover, I believe theatre can change the world and is vital for children's cognitive development. Therefore, I hope to bring as much theatre and fun to whomever I am babysitting. My previous experience includes occasional babysitting both in Boston and New York, but also working as a camp counselor for 3 summers. That taught me how to take care of multiple kids at a time while providing a safe and nurturing environment. Additionally, I have done volunteer work in Tanzania, concentrating on teaching. In Tanzania, I taught math, English and a little bit of theatre. This was an eye-opening adventure, but also reminded me the beauty of education. Read more Moreover, as a native New Yorker, I am excellent at navigating the city and coming up with fun activities to do (museums, parks, etc). I also adore animals, so looking after them is absolutely no problem. In addition, I am available for light housework (laundry, tidying, etc) as well as cooking, running errands/grocery shopping, and helping the kids out with their homework.
