My name is Brian Martinez and I am a junior at Colby College majoring in sociology. I'm currently spending the summer back home in New York. As an experienced nanny, I am dedicated, patient, attentive, musical, and active. I seek to inspire creativity, empathy, and a love of learning within the children for whom I care. I am a flexible nanny who always tailors my nannying style to the needs and interests of the children (I will also, of course, prioritize the parents' advice and rules). I love sharing my passions and knowledge with children through teaching while having fun: If your child/children want to play sports, I am skilled at basketball and baseball. If your child/children enjoy music, I am a lead member of my college's a cappella group. If your child/children loves to read and write, I do as well—I am an editor for my college's political opinion Read more magazine. If your child is hungry, I can cook! And I will always clean up afterwards. If you're a parent who wants the children out of the house, I am happy taking them on a trip to the MoMA, to theater, or to the zoo. For infants and toddlers, my patience and caring nature allows me to navigate any situation—from dirty diapers to tantrums—in order to put a smile on the child's face.
