Hello! I'm Jordana, an NYU Gallatin student with a passion for childcare and all things domestic. At an energetic 21 years old, I am the Auntie to amazing 1.5 and 12 year old girls and adorable 3 year old boy, and have largely helped care for them for their entire lives. I grew up as a dancer from the age of 2, and started assisting and teaching dance to young children at age 12. I babysat many of these children outsite of class, as well as other children in my town of Agoura Hills, California. I spent much of high school volunteering in my town's Friendship Circle program, where I worked with special needs children of all different ages. I have cared for newborns to 14 year olds, and am comfortable with any age or number of kids. I have four dogs at home, and am an absolute animal lover, Read more so I'd love to care for pets as well! I do not have a specific caregiving philisophy, rather, I like to tailor my approach specifically to each child's needs and parent's desires. I absolutely adore cooking and baking, and am extremely clean and organized in the kitchen. In addition to cooking I am passionate about creative writing, education, arts and crafts, gardening, travel, music, and of course, childcare. I write a baking blog called Flour Child (http://flour-child.net), which combines my passions for baking, writing, and photography. I received straight A's throughout high school and am maintaining straight A's at NYU, so I am very willing to tutor children or help with homework in any subject. I am patient, friendly, sweet, and creative, and love relating to children and enriching their lives in any way that I can. As for volunteer work, I curretly volunteer on Urban farms and gardens as frequently as I can, as I love being outdoors and helping things grow.
