We are a British family visiting New York for a long weekend. Patricia looked after our 2 children for the evening in the hotel. The children thought she was lovely. She engaged with them straight away. It all made for a relaxed evening out. Thanks Patricia.

We are delighted to write a recommendation for Pat as a babysitter. We have employed Pat for two years as a babysitter to look after our son (now 8 years old). During that time have found her to be caring, conscientious and willing to go above and beyond what we've asked her to do. She has developed a strong relationship with our boy and has very capably helped us with a wide range of activities. These include watching our son at home, at the park, supervising play with his friends at our house, picking him up at school, helping with homework and taking him on outings to museums and other attractions. Pat has shown flexibility in helping us navigate busy weeks, resolving scheduling and logistical problems on numerous occasions. She has also taken initiative to help in other ways, including cooking dinners on designated evenings. Throughout Pat has regularly contributed that little "extra" effort which has shown us she is always thinking about what she is doing. After many years and babysitters in the City, we feel ourselves fortunate to have found her! We are now helping Pat find additional work because our son is switching schools next year and our needs for childcare have changed.

I don't like to be hyperbolic because people often find unbalanced reviews hard to believe, in toto, but Patricia is the best sitter we've had. She has done short notice overnight and multiple days in a row. At all times, she brings activities for the kids (we have three - ages 11, 6 and 5), makes them good homemade food with whatever we have (and turning down take out, which we offer!), and has my house cleaner than when I left it. She's cheerful, willing to put in a level of effort that no parent should expect, comes prepared, gets to know the kids, keeps reasonable rules and control - and the kids still look forward to her coming back to babysit. We can't recommend her enough. After five combined kids and 16 years of parenting, Patricia is the best sitter we've had. Kristi and Ken UES, Manhattan
