I have over ten years of experience working with children. I have watched children ages newborn to pre-teen. I am comfortable caring for up to five children at a time. I have helped at a daycare, babysat, and worked full-time as a nanny and co-parent. I am an active nanny and can sometimes be found running around the yard with the children or if inside, down on the floor with them. I prefer not to rely on television to occupy children and instead utilize activities such as play-doh, coloring, painting, arts and crafts, baking, going for walks, and playing outside. I love taking kids on outings and enjoy trips to the park, library, or local play space. I have experience teaching children many fundamentals such as shapes, colors, letters, and numbers. I also have experience teaching reading, writing, and math readiness. Light housekeeping pertaining to the children is included in my rate. I am a great cook and have no problem preparing meals for the children. Family laundry/general housekeeping duties can be discussed. I attended Oneonta University in New York where I majored in Psychology. I took multiple child-related courses such as Child Development and Adolesecent Psychology. I have my driver's license, an insured vehicle, and a clean driving record. I am a non-smoker and I am pet-friendly. I have my child and infant CPR and First Aid certifications. I am a member of the INA (International Nanny Association) . I am able to provide stellar references.
