Hey there! I'm Sam and I am 21 years old. I am currently enrolled at SUNY New Paltz as an English major graduating this December. I am aspiring to become an educator in early childhood and plan to get my masters in just that! I have a degree in human services from Dutchess Community College where I focused on working with children with disabilities. I have been babysitting since I was about 13 starting with my little cousins who are now 10 and 12. I currently work at a local daycare center in Pawling where I interact with children as young as 3 months and as old as 6. I have been with the center for almost 2 years now and I love it! I really enjoy working with kids and seeing them grow. A great plus to working at this facilities is that it gives me ample opportunities to Read more do many trainings including managing challenging behavior, preventing SIDs and shaken baby syndrome as well as the most important training in my opinion: CPR and first aid.
