Hello-I am a woman now 57 who had a son at age 35. I was born and raised in this area but wanted to travel the world which I accomplished by the age of 33 and then I married. My husband and I took our son all over the world while he was growing up-3 trips every year and to accommodate this goal I homeschooled him for 3 years before enrolling him in a school that accepted and encouraged our efforts. I read to him and told him of all my experiences and adventures in my life and inspired him to continue to see and experience this incredible planet-especially seeing animals in their natural habitat. My son is now married and continuing with his wife to travel-they live in Charlotte NC and now I am alone and need to support myself. My husband and I were always self employed and Read more I was dismayed when we hired young people who never took their job seriously-always on their phones and texting non stop. I worked in construction all my life with my father's company and then with my husband in the Garage Door Business and then we owned an Auction Business. Though I am 57 I am very healthy and active-I have been to South Africa, Ecuador and Peru within the last year and a half so I have to stay in shape! Yes it's been 20 years since I have taken care of a 1 year old child but I took him all over the world starting at 8 months old so I do think I am a very attentive and protective Mom!
