I am an experienced and loving childcare provider who would love to be part of an amazing family. I moved to New York City a year ago so I’m pretty interested in finding a job in the area. Regarding my work experience, I have been developing my skills in this field for more than 6 years taking care of children of all ages from newborns to teenagers. Here in the USA, I worked for a family in Wilton, CT through a student exchange program with Au Pair in America for 1 year and 4 months. I took care of Isabella and Sofia (twins, 14 months of age) and Robert (7 year-old-boy) since the end of April 2010 until August 31, 2011. Also, I took care of Ella (4 year-old-girl) and little Mike (1 year-old-boy) in Norwalk, CT. My duties were playtime, laundry, potty training, feedings, naps, baths, walks, pick-ups, drop Read more offs, light house cleaning, vacuum, doctor´s appointments, etc. Also, I had have a very good experience working with children in Colombia (I will provide all the references). I also worked in Westport, CT taking care of 5 amazing children (ages 13, 11, 6, 3 and 1). I was with them for almost 2 years, but my husband found a job in Manhattan and we had to move to New York. My last job was with a high profile family in Manhasset, Long Island taking care of two amazing boys (2 and 4 years old). I think that through educational games I can teach a lot to children because they learn in a fun way how to speak, read and write, getting at the same time basic notions of culture which contributes to a more complete development of their personalities. And after all, they are children who love to have fun!. I like teaching Spanish as a second language if the parents are interested. I believe that encouraging their creativity and imagination through arts( painting, doing crafts) or through sports can help their personal and intellectual growth and I am more than happy if I can find a family who let me do all that as a professional nanny. I am an outdoorsy person so usually when the weather is nice enough; I take them to parks, museums, aquariums, etc. During winter time I go with them to art and music classes, gyms like the Gymboree and when we are home I love to read to them, do puzzles, play with building blocks, dress up and any other games that children enjoy.
