Hi my name is Deanna May I am a 22 year old graduate student studying to become a Physician's Assistant. I have over 6 years of childcare experience both in a daycare, babysitting and now pediatric medicine. I have worked at Doodlebugs children's center for the last 4 years and loved every minute. Previous to that I was a summer camp counselor at the YMCA for the preschool age group. I am also part of my school's babysitting service Seton Sitters where I regularly watch a couple of families. This past summer I volunteered and was head coach of a 7-8 girls soccer team. I am CPR certified for infants, children and adults and have extensive medical training after completely my didactic year of PA school. I am home for the summer and hoping to save money for school while getting to know great families and further my experience with Read more children so that one day I can work in pediatric surgery/ oncology. I have experience in all ages including infants until middle school age. I also have experience with special needs children particularly autism, down syndrome and developmental delays. I have worked 12 hour days with children and always ended up leaving with a smile. I have also implemented curriculum at my job at Doodlebugs and am knowledgeable about children's health and development as well as education levels. But most of all I have great experience in making kids happy and being able to be goofy and fun with them. Whether it's playing sports, reading, singing songs or making up games I love being able to make kids laugh as much as they make me laugh, while making them feel safe and taken care of.
