I have been watching children since I was 11 years old. I always volunteered in the classrooms as an adult and enjoy teaching children. My mother is a retired school teacher as well. I have raised a son who is now 21 years old and will be graduating from RIT in the Spring of 2019. In addition, he has been awarded RIT's Elite Scholar, has earned his EMT certification, currently working on his paramedics certification and will be entering medical school in the fall. I pride myself with being a wonderful mother and love being around all children. I am very active, love to read and spent many hours at the library with my son when he was younger. We owned a dog for 14 years that was truly my '"other child." Unfortunately, she passed away nearly 2 years ago. My son has been begging me to get another one, Read more but my schedule doesn't allow me to at this point in time. I love to cook and bake and am willing to prepare meals. I grew up with an Italian grandmother whom I adored and spent every free minute with her. She lived around the corner from me so it was possible almost daily. She taught me how to sew, garden, cook, and clean. I have so many special memories. I graduated from a local college in Rochester and have my BS degree as well. Traveling has always been a passion of mine and have had the opportunity to live in many different states and countries. I feel I am very qualified for a position to be a sitter, nanny, pet sitter, etc because I am extremely responsible, dependable, trustworthy, and compassionate. The greatest job I have been blessed with is being a mother! My friends never hesitated to call on me to watch their children nor have my neighbors. I have more than enough references as well as a valid driver's license. I don't smoke nor have I ever had any points against my driver's license.
