My babysitting journey began when I was 12 years old helping local families as a mothers helper. As time went on, with this experience and me getting older this led to more full time babysitting jobs. I was the babysitter at Rockville Racket, a local tennis club, which gave me the opportunity to babysit for the families outside of the club and help them at their homes. Throughout high school I babysat families after school and on the weekends, families ranging in all sizes with up to four children, all ages (including new borns) and children with developmental and intellectual disabilities. This started my love for working with children in why I received my undergraduate degree in Childhood Special Education in grades 1-6 at Molloy College. After receiving my degree I worked at ACDS (formally the Association for Children with Down Syndrome) at the Day Habilitation, where I would work Read more on life skills by mentoring and coaching young adults to set short and long term life goals while volunteering out in the community.
