***I am available for short term childcare positions from September until November 2021.*** My name is Ashley, and I love helping children of all ages grow to be the best possible versions of themselves. I am currently seeking babysitting work in the general Boston area. I am fully vaccinated against covid. I am unique in that I both love being active (most sports including training for American Ninja Warrior - my current focus) and helping with intellectual development including using my background as a software developer to teach kids how to code (with physical toys, iPads or computers) and learn problem solving skills. I also love tutoring kids to help improve their academic achievement as I have given homework help to children at previous jobs to help them understand concepts along with finding ways to make homework more enjoyable. I also have many other interests such as reading, music, art, Read more and games (including Minecraft) that make it easy for me to find common ground with different children. For the past few years, I have been doing childcare work for families with children from ages 3-16 (references available). I've done many tasks such as picking up kids from school, playing together on the playground and at home, providing snacks and helping with dinner preparation, resolving sibling disagreements, helping with homework, doing household tasks, assisting with changing clothes and driving to activities. I bring my best self to the job every day and stay engaged with the child throughout the day to ensure excellent care. My employers would describe me as a naturally kind and creative person with endless patience. I provide individualized attention to each child while keeping an eye on schedules and chores so I can accomplish what needs to be done each day. I read child psychology books for fun so I can learn the latest scientific ways to help children so I can be the best childcare provider I can be.
