I find a lot of enjoyment and fulfillment playing a role in young childrens' lives. After graduating from college with a degree in Education I spent the following year teaching elementary students English in Israel. This gave me a significant amount of experience working with young children both formally and informally. Every day, I was given the opportunity of working with a small group of students. This allowed me to grow a strong connection with the children which helped me in planning lessons or activities to better fit their needs or likes. I also volunteered in the afterschool program for the first and second graders. It was during these moments that I was able to plan less formal activities for the children. We spent the majority of the time either playing fun and active games outside or completing arts and crafts activities inside. I have also spent the last few Read more summers working as a Camp Counselor. This past summer I was a Camp Counselor for the Hudson Valley Developmentally Disabled Service Office. Before beginning this position I was trained in the following areas - CPR, Dysphagia, AED, and Fire Safety. I think that my experience, both as a teacher and a Camp Counselor proves how much I enjoy playing a role in young children's lives. I am really looking forward to hearing from you soon!
