I have recently moved to New York from Indianapolis and am looking for a job that will allow me to still go to school here in Long Island. I was raised in England and had a nanny of my own, whom I adored and still look up to today. I have cared for the children of many families, four families consistently, and a couple who I was on a "call when needed" basis. I have looked after children of all ages ranging from newborn to 12 and have references if needed! I have a Safe-Sitter certification, which covers all medical and babysitting training. I also have experience working with children with medical needs and those with disabilities. My first job was as a babysitter, like most, and I continued to still babysit while I had another job and school. When looking after a child I like to incorporate life skills Read more into our time together, such as learning to swim, learning musical instruments, school work, arts etc. I myself play the piano, and love music! I have also been on the soccer team, swim team, softball team, and did tae kwon do. I am a fun and out-going person who is driven by a child's creativity and imagination. In a child's mind, nothing is impossible, and I would love to be able to help that idea blossom (unless it is a food fight, then it is very impossible! :) ) I will usually be found cleaning or organizing while your child is napping! My own home is cleaned twice a day, to the annoyance of my partner and pets who seem to be okay with the dishes in the sink! ;) I love pets as well as children so that is no issue at all if you have four-legged children too!
