Hello. My name is Cheryl. I am 28 years old and have many years of experience working with infants, children and teens. I and responsibile, punctual and energetic. Although I love finding creative ways to have fun, I will take caring for a child very seriously. Previously, I was a Gymboree Play and Learn teacher. While there, I instructed parents and children during gym activities, sang songs, played games and completed hands-on (process-oriented) art projects. I especially enjoyed teaching the music and art classes. I also was a Residential Counselor and Transport Worker at Hope For Youth, a Long Island foster care agency. I took care of the day to day house activities such as preparing meals, giving baths/showers, helping with homework, morning and afternoon school drop off/ pick ups, trips and appointments, as well as bedtime routines. Currently, I am a Middle and High School English teacher. I am Read more grateful to have the incredibly important responsibility of helping shape young minds. I am a teacher 24/7, so whether I am in a classroom or in your home, I encourage teachable moments. I also teach Sunday school, at my church, to children ages five to twelve. One fun fact about me is that I love Musical Theater! I studied Performance Art in college and I occasionally perform with a musical improv group.
