Hi. I started working with kids in back in my freshman year of high school. I would spend my afternoons at the stables where I helped out regularly. I did everything from pony party’s to being a camp counselor to volunteering to teach both kids and adults with varying disabilities to horseback ride. Additionally I also assisted to volunteer to help assist teach a pottery class. In college I was a mentor to an elementary age child which I was paired with through a mentoring program. After college I continued to volunteer working with people who have disabilities teaching them to horseback ride and started to help with beginner riding lessons. My sister is 7 years younger than me and I also had to watch her as well sometimes.
