My name is tenzing wangmo lama. I am ethnically Tibetan, but I was born and raised in Kathmandu, Nepal. My parents are from Tibet and relocated to Nepal due to the change in our political situation. When Dalai Lama fled Tibet due to Chinese invasion, many Tibetans followed him and settled in parts of India and Nepal. My parents was one of them and because of that I was born in Nepal and didn't witness any of political upheaval, I always considered Nepal has my second home country. It is a beautiful city to live in, diverse cultures and heritages. Geographical speaking, it is surrounded by the Himalayas and blessed with the scenically beauty. I feel very lucky that I was born in such a beautiful country. I completed my high school. After completing my studies I started working for my father. Business wise, we were doing okay but being Read more a Tibetan living in Nepal wasn't easy. So, I moved to the land of opportunities to start afresh and get an identity of my own. Since reaching here, I started working as a nanny/housekeeper with different families part time and full time in NYC. I was always so fond of kids as I have so many cousins who are much younger than me. We are three siblings and being the eldest, I always had to be the one taking responsibilities taking care of them. So, being a nanny came natural for me due to my past experiences. I think I am the most ideal person to work with for no other reason but my sheer love for kids and passion in making them grow into independent and beautiful human beings. If I had to describe myself I would say that I am dependable, honest, hardworking, good listener and kind. My goal as a nanny is to take care of the children, help them grow into a better person.
