I have been in childcare since I was 12 years old. Starting out, I helped take care of infants up to seven years old in my church’s child care center. As I entered high school, I volunteered with Nationwide Children’s hospital in Columbus. I worked between the sibling’s clubhouse and the art cart where I passed around art supplies to the sick patients of the hospital. During college, I was a site administrator for the YMCA before and after school care programs. I worked with grades k-5 and helped developed activities for the kids. For the past two summers, I have been a camp counselor for the same YMCA. Last year, I was assistant lead. I was in charge of making lesson plans including crafts, games, reading, and more for my cabin. Currently, I am a high school teacher with Towpath High School. My work with kids has always been something I have been very passionate about. I love creating activities and fun plans to do with children.
