I am an Early Childhood Education major at Ohio University. I worked at Stages Early Learning Center in the preschool classroom where I was responsible for assisting the lead teacher in lesson plans, activities, breakfast, lunch, snack, recess, medical treatment of injuries, and any other needs of the students. I taught Spanish to third and fourth graders once a week as a part of the FLES program through Ohio University. I tutor a second grader in Spanish every week, and I was the toddler teacher aid at the Child Development Center for the entire semester of Spring 2017, which was a part of my clinical lab experience. I studied abroad in volunteered in Belize at an Elementary school where I gave the teachers new literacy assessment ideas and instruction. I have my "Growing Up Wild" certificate which I acquired at a workshop at OU. This allows me to teach unique Read more and creative science lessons. I am a member of the Science Education Council of Ohio, and the National Teachers of Science Association. I volunteered to work at PawPaw Festival at the Kids Booth, I volunteered at Federal Hocking's Dr. Seuss Day, and I volunteered at Kids on Campus. I am a huge advocate of differentiated instruction, and love taking kids to explore their communities.
